It's that time of year again folks!! Yes, it is the time of year for Valentines Day, but it is also nearing the yearly trip that the Saint James 8th grade class takes every year! This year, like every other, the youthful class will be residing in our nations spectacular capital from early morning of Sunday, February 12, to late night Wednesday, February 15. The group will be under the amazing leadership of Cathy Pearson, Venna Everett, Tina Bowlin, Laura Spivey, Jeremy Van Egmond, Chris Sullivan, and our school's outstanding headmistress and her husband, Mrs. Melba & Dr. Bill Richardson. The groups will be visiting many historical sights and a few museums containing information in which the teens have been studying. Some of the sights they shall be visiting are Mount Vernon, home of George Washington, the Holocaust Museum, The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and many more memorials, museums, and historical sights. So far, there have been a few meetings between the students and the parents discussing dress, luggage, behavior, roommates, groups, and the consequences of disobeying the rules and regulations set before the students. Each of the chaperones attending will be in charge of their own group of students. The students were advised not to leave there groups unless they have a buddy and permission to leave from their group leader. Though there are many rules for the students to follow while on the trip, the chaperones, students, and parents all know of the good time that the students will have on the trip and will remember for a long time. :)
